2020-2021
Design components and Kickstarter ops (800%+ funded)
Overview
Potato Pirates 3: Battlechips is a tabletop card game that teaches programming concepts through fun, competitive gameplay.
Coming into the team, I initially started off as a marketing intern. However, after the successful launch of their previous game, they were keen to release a 3rd iteration of Potato Pirates. With only one other game designer in the team, I volunteered to work on the game design and this started my whole journey!
It was a 9 month long internship and during this time, I lead the game direction, designed game components, balanced mechanics, and led the Kickstarter campaign that achieved over 800% of its funding goal. It was a really fulfilling experience and I learnt so much from the team!
